To Our Valued Customers:
Two years after the acquisition of Federal APD’s parking business, 3M announced on November 20, 2014 that it will transition out of its global Parking Access and Revenue Control business by mid-year 2015.
The company will continue to manufacture, fulfilling all existing contractual obligations and will satisfy existing warranty obligations through the warranty term. They will maintain Technical Support and Service and continue to repair products through the life of its equipment warranties.
Control Systems Inc. has been offering our customers innovative parking solutions for more than twenty-seven years. Our success is built upon understanding your needs and working with you to help your facilities run smoothly and maximize revenue. Our goals will not change during this transition. We understand that your facilities are fully integrated with 3M/Federal APD products, and we want to assure you that technical support, replacement products, and repairs will not be an issue even beyond the warranty of your parking products. We have the ability to repair and replace existing equipment as needed. We are currently working with entities that are interested in continuing to manufacture the 3M/Federal APD product line into the future.
We are always exploring new products and features in the marketplace and assessing the latest trends in parking technology from the leading manufacturers in the industry. Our management team has been working with one of the largest parking systems manufacturer in the world, Designa, and we have decided to enter into a strategic relationship offering their new and innovative bar code and magnetic stripe solutions to our valued customers.
We will call you to discuss the transition and answer any questions you may have but please feel free to reach out to us if you have any concerns.
